An alert has been issued by Nassau County Police investigators for a wanted woman who was arrested for allegedly attempting to injure a child.
Ashley McKnight, 31, is wanted by the Nassau County Police Department and Nassau County Court after being arrested and charged with acting in a manner to injure a child under the age of 17.
Following her arrest, McKnight was released and never appeared in court to respond to the charges. An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest by the court.
McKnight was described by investigators as 5-foot-11 weighing approximately 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators said that anyone that comes into contact with her, or who recognizes her, should not attempt to apprehend or detain her.
